Their specific goals vary, but we are all connected by the overall mission of supporting the autism and disABILITIES community. During this time of social distancing, our routines and daily schedules have been interrupted, but the work of our non-profits is ongoing. KEEN Greater DC-Baltimore provides sports and recreational activities to children, teens, and young adults with significant developmental and physical disabilities at no cost to the participant or their family.
While we’re all social distancing, KEEN has transitioned to providing services through KEEN Live at Home. Through videos and live virtual offerings, they’re providing exercise sessions, readings, musical performances by participants, and a space for the athletes to chat.
